**Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator (Skid Steer/Wheeled Loader)** **Shift: 1st Shift hours 7AM-4PM (Monday-Friday) Also working 2-3 weekends a month Average of 55-60 hours per week. OT availability is a MUST.** **Pay: $25+/hour starting out** **Job Description** A heavy equipment operator is responsible for operating machinery such as wheel loaders, skid steers and loaders on construction sites and other work environments. Their duties include maintaining equipment, following safety protocols, and assisting with site preparation, excavation, and material transport. Operators must have knowledge of equipment controls, perform routine inspections, and communicate effectively with team members toensure efficient and safe operations. **Responsibilities** + Operate heavy machinery such as wheel loaders, skid steers and cranes. + Inspect equipment prior to use to ensure safe and proper functioning. + Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machinery. + Follow safety protocols and regulations on job sites. + Move earth, materials, and debris as required for construction projects. + Read and interpret blueprints or site plans to execute tasks accurately. + Communicate with supervisors and other crew members regarding progress and site conditions. + Keep logs and records of equipment usage and maintenance. **Why Work Here?** You will join a small knit team at the energy center in St. Mary's that genuinely focuses on its employees and fosters a supportive, close-knit culture. May be required to wear a hard hat and safety vest as well as other PPE. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of St Marys, KS. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
