Sales Representative

 

Job Summary

This position requires developing sales strategies to attract new broker partnerships within assigned territories, agencies, and for the sales team. Will source new sales opportunities and close sales to achieve quotas. Will play a key role in increasing income and revenue by managing and negotiating with brokers, generating leads, qualifying prospects, and managing sales of products and services offered. Will also be responsible for researching the competition. Updating CRM often and keeping records accurate is required. Preparing reports monthly and completing quarterly sales audits to calculate the incentive compensation due for the sales team. A strong preference will be given to professionals with recent and successful sales experience in the Consumer Driven Health Plan and COBRA Administration or employee benefit broker business.

Duties

  1. Prepare monthly sales reports
  2. "Get the sale" using various customer sales methods (cold calling, presentations, etc.)
  3. Forecast sales, develop "out of the box" sales strategies/models and evaluate their effectiveness
  4. Evaluate brokers skills, needs, and build productive long-lasting relationships
  5. Meet personal and team sales targets
  6. Send handwritten thank you notes
  7. Research accounts and generate or follow through sales leads
  8. Attend meetings, sales events, and training to keep abreast of the latest developments and provide feedback/updates on progress being made
  9. Maintain and expand client database within your assigned territory, including updating CRM regularly with updates/progress of each prospect
  10. Will meet with brokers/prospects/clients from time to time
  11. Prepare broker kits/packets as needed for meetings
  12. Follow all Medcom policies as they relate to privacy and security
  13. Overtime as needed
  14. Other duties as assigned by management
