**Your Key Responsibilities:**
+ Study **blueprints and drawings** to develop machining processes that optimize cost, efficiency, and quality.
+ Review and improve existing processes, accommodate drawing revisions, and integrate lessons learned from previous runs.
+ Collaborate with **Engineers and Designers** to address and solve manufacturing challenges.
+ Specify and design **fixturing for lathes, mills, and automated machine tending** , creating machining processes and overseeing fabrication as needed.
+ Select and specify **cutting tools** , working with distributors, manufacturers, and in-house toolmakers.
+ Generate **NC programs using Esprit CAM software** for Mill/Turn Lathes.
+ Create and maintain **setup materials** , including setup sheets, drawing markups, and process notes.
+ Work alongside machinists and inspectors to **implement and continuously improve machining processes** .
+ Maintain **program and process documentation** to ensure data integrity.
+ Contribute to **CAM software development** and process improvement initiatives.
+ Participate in **routing development, cost estimation, capital purchases** , and **new product design support** .
+ Actively engage in **Lean and Six Sigma initiatives** , including Single Piece Flow and Value Stream projects.
+ Mentor and train other employees to enhance team skills and capabilities.
**Qualifications:**
+ Excellent communication skills and approachable demeanor.
+ Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-demand environments.
+ Skilled in developing and programming **complex lathe processes** , including live tooling.
+ Strong knowledge in **tooling selection, work-holding, and fixturing design** .
+ Proficient with **CAD/CAM software** and standard business tools.
+ Solid understanding of **GD&T, metrology, and precision manufacturing practices** .
+ Passion for **continuous improvement** in a Lean/Six Sigma environment.
+ Team-oriented mindset with willingness to work **overtime as needed** .
**Preferred/Additional Skills:**
+ Experience with **Esprit software configuration and post-processor development** .
+ Proficiency in **Microsoft Office** applications.
+ Experience managing projects at a **shop or group level** .
+ Knowledge of **Design for Manufacturing, DMAIC methodology, ROI analysis** .
+ Experience in **gear and shaft manufacturing** and **production automation/robotics** .
