Job Description:

 

TITLE: Accounting Administration

DEPARTMENT: Washinton Accounting

STATUS: Non-exempt

REPORTS TO: Corporate Controller

REVISED: 06/19/2025

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, following specific instructions and well-defined procedures, performs a variety of clerical and accounting duties of limited scope in support of accounting functions.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE

· Prepare vendor invoices to be submitted to accounts payable including obtaining the Restoration Organization job number and approval from Project Manager for proper job costing. Once prepared, vendor invoices are to be submitted to the AP email address, daily.

 

ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE

· Prepares and sends customer invoices and statements in an accurate and timely manner

· Enters Accounts Receivable data into job files for the division.

· Posts all Accounts Receivables into Great Plains for the division.

· Matches and posts payments to accounts receivable

· Prepare bank deposits and make deposits when applicable.

· Assists with collections including making customer collection calls to ensure collection of all monies due.

 

GENERAL

 

· Demonstrates knowledge of all company products and services

· Meets corporate standards for attendance and timeliness.

· Maintains effective working relationships and acts in a manner most beneficial to the company.

· Assists Accounting Team in processing human resources paperwork, and files.

· Supports organizational teamwork and acts as an advocate for corporate values.

REQUIREMENTS:

· High school completion or equivalent.

· Accounting experience preferred

· Excellent customer service skills

· Basic math skills.

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word and Excel)

· Microsoft Dynamics (Great Plains) experience preferred.

· Data input experience.

· Excellent communication skills.

· Courteous and clear telephone voice

· Ability to multi-task

· Ability to follow verbal and written instructions

· Problem solving skills

This position requires sitting for extended periods of time and using the telephone (with a headset), computer monitor and keyboard. Requires delivery of mail to various offices. May include multiple trips up and down a flight of stairs. Occasionally it requires lifting up to 25 lbs.
