**Safety Coordinator**
**Location:** Portland, OR (primarily office-based with occasional site visits)
**Pay Range:** $27-$30 per hour (DOE)
**Position Overview**
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive **Safety Coordinator** to support our Safety, Compliance, and Operations functions. This role plays a vital part in maintaining accurate documentation, supporting regulatory compliance, and ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operational processes across the organization.
The ideal candidate is a self‑starter who works well independently, takes ownership of responsibilities, and approaches their work with a safety‑first, people‑centered mindset. This individual demonstrates excellent attention to detail, sound judgment, and strong communication skills, and is comfortable managing a blend of compliance, administrative, and operational tasks with minimal supervision.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Support OSHA, Fire Marshal, and environmental compliance documentation and recordkeeping
+ Maintain stormwater, environmental, and safety‑related records
+ Review, validate, and track time entry for fabrication teams
+ Maintain equipment maintenance logs and company vehicle documentation
+ Provide administrative and operational support to HR, Operations, and Project teams
+ Assist with project submittals and compliance documentation as needed
+ Proactively identify opportunities to streamline or improve processes
+ Handle sensitive information with confidentiality, fairness, and accountability

**Qualifications**
**Preferred Experience & Skills**
+ Background in manufacturing, construction, industrial, or fabrication environments
+ Exposure to safety, environmental, or regulatory compliance processes
+ Experience with certified payroll or prevailing wage reporting (highly preferred)
+ Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
**Education**
+ College degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience
**Work Environment**
This is a primarily office‑based position located in Portland, OR, with occasional visits to fabrication and belt facility sites.
