Job Title: Survey TechnicianJob Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated Survey Technician to join our dynamic team in Miami. You will have the opportunity to work on both small and large-scale projects, performing Alta, Boundary, and Topo surveying, as well as preparing site or building information models and CAD deliverables. The projects include a variety of commercial, retail, and residential properties throughout the local region and across Florida.
Responsibilities
+ Collect field data for the preparation of surveys by utilizing surveying equipment and software.
+ Effectively interpret reports, maps, drawings, engineering plans, and aerial photographs to assess project needs and assist in the project approach.
+ Assist in the recovery of survey control and monumentation, construction layout, obtaining invert and subsurface utility information, and photo documentation of the project area.
+ Recommend innovative approaches and ideas to continuously improve efficiency and the quality of services provided.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in CAD and computer skills including Word, Excel, AutoCAD, and Terramodel.
+ Experience in topographic, boundary, utility survey, and construction layout.
+ Ability to set up a total station and tripod.
+ Proficient mathematical ability.
+ Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical and judgment capabilities.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
+ Ability to work well individually and in groups.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High School diploma is required; a Bachelor's degree in Surveying or a related field is a plus.
+ Experience with GPS is a plus.
+ Must have a valid driver's license in good standing.
+ Ability to participate in fieldwork and work during evenings and/or weekends, when necessary.
+ Travel to project sites and/or client locations as required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Miami, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $32.00/hr.
