As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely fulfillment of daily drug orders under the supervision of a pharmacist. You will assist in processing returned drugs, managing medication prepacking, and maintaining the organization and accuracy of medication storage areas. Your role will also involve packaging materials and applying labels to medication blister cards, ensuring accuracy through scanning, and maintaining workstation supplies.
Responsibilities
+ Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently in a timely manner under the supervision of a pharmacist.
+ Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose of them per procedure.
+ Prepack frequently ordered medications, label, and store them during low volume times.
+ Package materials and products manually.
+ Pull/pick medications from shelving and other medication storage areas.
+ Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy checks.
+ Alert the pharmacist on duty of any medication/product that is not scanning properly.
+ Maintain designated workstation areas and replenish all stock supplies needed.
+ Follow all applicable government regulations, including overtime, holidays, and weekends as required.
+ Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ High School diploma or GED equivalent.
+ Clear and active TX Pharmacy Technician License issued by the TX Board of Pharmacy.
+ Ideally 2+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
+ Ability to work at a moderate speed.
+ Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Data entry skills.
+ Retail pharmacy experience.
+ Fulfillment experience.
Work Environment
The work schedule alternates weekly with opening hours from 8am to 5pm and closing hours from 11am to 8:30pm, including every other weekend from 8am to 5pm. The role may require sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and walking intermittently throughout the day, with the possibility of working extended hours. The position requires finger dexterity for operating office equipment and may involve lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally. Visual acuity for reading fine print, close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus are necessary. The work environment is representative of a typical pharmacy setting, requiring the ability to hear normal voice sounds.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Katy, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
