As a Day Habilitation Specialist (Day Hab), you will play an integral role in the lives of the people we support. Our specialists provide direct assistance in all aspects of daily living, enabling the greatest level of independence possible and the best quality of life for those we care for. Depending on the needs of the individual, tasks could include providing personal care or assistance with hygiene, housekeeping, laundry, cooking, medication administration, transportation to medical appointments, behavioral interventions, etc.

Job Location: Ossining & Valhalla, NY

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8 am to 4 pm may change to 9am-5pm or 10am-6pm

(WEEKENDS OFF!)

Requirements:

• Caring, upbeat personality
• High School diploma/GED or 2 years of work experience
• Experience working with individuals with special needs a plus

Additional Requirements:

• A valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to the agency and insurance standards.
• Daily access to reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass and maintain an acceptable record related to the mandated criminal background check process.
