Job Description:

The Auto/Diesel Mechanic will repair and replace parts for company vehicles while in collaboration with team members to ensure a vehicle is safely and efficiently operating to the driver's needs.

Maintain and service all company trucks (gas & diesel) at proper interval. Daily operations to make sure company trucks and trailers are in good, safe working condition for day-to-day and all shift schedules. Make sure all company trucks and trailers are inspected before due date. Pickup parts or material when asked. Shop maintenance work. Must carry and maintain a current valid Driver's License and have at least 2 years Mechanic experience. Steel toe boots required and must have your own tools. Subject to D.O.T. and/or pre-employment drug testing.


Preferred:

Class "A" CDL license

Heavy equipment maintenance experience

Small engine repair experience

Hydraulic repair experience

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Conduct regular maintenance on machinery, systems, and automotive vehicles.

Meet with the drivers to better understand their concerns and identify the issue.

Assemble mechanical components according to specifications.

Examine machines and oversee diagnostic tests to determine functionality problems.

Design a plan of action for all maintenance tasks and upgrades.

Maintain work logs, repairs, and maintenance records.

Monitor inventory and order new parts when necessary.

Offer consultation on maintenance and preventative procedures to machine and vehicle users.

Perform vehicle assessments.

Perform state inspections.

Repairing or replacing vehicle transmissions, brakes, engines, completing oil changes, wheel balancing, alignments etc. and other parts.

Conducting field visits in case of an emergency or sudden breakdown.

Completing oil changes, wheel balancing, alignments etc.

Perform other duties assigned.
