CVR Engineering is looking to hire a Distribution Line Engineer to join our growing team!
This role will provide detailed design engineering services to our utility customers. Essential Job Functions:
- Ensures that all engineering contracts assigned are completed on time and within budget, as stated in the original proposal or contract.
- Perform detailed calculations for line engineering such as load flow, equipment sizing and selection, routing analysis, structural analysis pertaining to pole design to compute and establish manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications.
- Understanding of industry standards and guidelines including ANSI, IEEE, NEC, NESC, RUS Bulletins, NEMA and others.
- Participate in engineering analysis, design, implementations and commissioning phases. Prepare user requirements, technical specifications, design specifications and commissioning plans.
- Respond to customer queries and concerns in a timely fashion.
- Coordinates with Contractors and Owners to ensure the prompt start and quality control are adhered to on all assigned projects.
- Review of all customer provided Request for Proposals and establish protocol for proposal generation and execution.
- Evaluate existing engineering processes and recommend improvement.
- Takes ownership and responsibility in creation of IFC package, with guidance from lead engineer.
- Make necessary on-site visits to determine client satisfaction and specification compliance.
Requirements:
- Graduate from accredited institution with engineering degree.
- 3-5 years design engineering experience.
- Demonstrated familiarity with detailed engineering practices.
- Engineering-In-Training (EIT) certificate.
- Operation knowledge of O-Calc, SpidaCalc, Poleforeman or similar
- PLSCADD utilization (preferred, not required)
