Purpose and Scope: At Sage Oil Vac, Inc. our Welders play a vital role in the fabrication of high-quality fluid handling equipment by using welding techniques to join metal components, ensuring the reliability and durability of our products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welding
- Perform welding tasks, including MIG, TIG, STICK, and other welding processes, to join various metal components, following technical drawings, blueprints, and project specifications.
- Fabrication
- Participate in the fabrication and assembly of components used in Sage Oil Vac equipment, such as tanks, frames, brackets, and other metal structures.
- Quality Assurance
- Maintain the highest standards of welding quality, inspecting completed work for accuracy and structural integrity to meet company and industry standards.
- Material Handling
- Safely handle and store welding materials, gases, and equipment while adhering to safety guidelines.
- Welding Equipment Maintenance
- Ensure welding equipment is properly maintained and promptly report any equipment issues or repair needs.
- Safety Compliance
- Strictly adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and colleagues.
- Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with other members of the fabrication and manufacturing team to achieve project goals and deadlines.
- Problem-Solving
- Utilize problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues related to welding or component assembly and find practical solutions.
- Documentation
- Maintain records of welding activities, including materials used, welding parameters, and any modification made to the standard procedures.

Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training is highly desirable.
- Experience:
- Proven experience as a welder, with expertise in MIG and STICK welding techniques.
- Strong welding skills and the ability to produce high-quality welds with a focus on precision and accuracy.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
- Knowledge of different metals and their welding procedures.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering work of the highest quality.
- Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to troubleshoot welding-related issues.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
