Job Title: EV Charging Specialist
Role Overview:
Provide technical support throughout the customer journey, from pre-sale consultation to post-sale commissioning, ensuring seamless integration and world-class customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pre-Sale Technical Consultation: Partner with Home Energy Consultants (HEC) to review customer profiles, site feasibility, electrical requirements, and product compatibility. Participate in Energy Consultation calls to set expectations regarding installation timelines, V2H functionality, and ESS integration.
- At-Sale Final Review: Join final sales calls to validate bundle compatibility, reconfirm installation scope, and ensure the customer understands integration details.
- Post-Sale Support Through Commissioning: Provide technical oversight from sale through installation and commissioning. Support site assessments, coordinate with installers, review quotes, and troubleshoot early issues. Remain engaged until the system is operational, documenting all technical interactions.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with Sales, Installation, and Customer Care teams to ensure seamless handoff, following the established Technical Advisor Integration process.
Work Environment:
- Position can be100%. Initial training will take place in Michigan.
- High level of interaction with cross-functional teams including product, OEMs, and third-party contractors
- Daily team meetings and weekly cross-functional meetings, with constant customer communication
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in the electrical or electronic space
- Journeyman-level experience with strong emotional intelligence
- 3+ years as an electrician or working on electrical components; EV charging equipment repair/installation experience strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred; HSD considered
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint
