We are looking for a veterinary assistant with experience to join our team here at Thomasville Animal Hospital. This is a position in which you can interact with clients and their pets as well as gain great experience and knowledge in the veterinary industry.

Job requirements:

• basic animal handling skills
• experience in a veterinary office.
• great character
• strong work ethic
• Saturday morning availability
• ability to lift moderate weight (40-50#)

Job Duties:

• assist veterinarians and technicians in the restraint and care of animals
• stocking examination rooms with supplies
• technical skills may include, but are not limited to, and are dependent on skill level and experience: venipuncture, catheter placement, radiography, administering medications, performing laboratory analysis
• client education
• assist with scheduling
• assist with work flow for client satisfaction
• care of in patients in our intensive care unit
