Job Title: Category Leader (Technical/IT Services)
Job Description
The Category Leader is responsible for supporting the financial and operational performance within specific IT Categories, including managing a share of the $175M IT spend. This role involves negotiating XaaS, telecom, infrastructure, security, AI, and IT service agreements globally for all business units. The Category Leader will support the IT team in supplier selection, value analysis, and decision-making processes, serving as a liaison between legal, privacy, risk, IT, business stakeholders, and supplier partners.
Responsibilities
+ Lead the development of Category Strategies, understanding the current market state and identifying gaps, issues, and challenges.
+ Proactively identify future opportunities to address cost and build a pipeline of value through various sourcing methods.
+ Support the execution of IT and business projects aimed at driving value to the organization.
+ Develop sourcing strategies for cross-functional RFx, supplier selection, proposal analysis, and contract negotiation.
+ Manage and defend against cost increases at contract renewal using various negotiation tactics.
+ Evaluate and support the addition of new providers, technology, and process improvements.
+ Support the management of existing vendor relationships and performance.
+ Interact with leaders and report on cost savings, risk mitigation, and project development.
+ Become an expert in procurement processes and develop key relationships with stakeholders, providing training and support.
+ Identify areas for improvement in procurement processes and propose changes.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in contract management and understanding business and legal interpretations.
+ Ability to manage and lead the contract and sourcing process.
+ Collaboration skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with leadership.
+ Experience in negotiating hardware, software licensing, and services agreements.
+ Skilled in cost analysis with a focus on total cost of ownership and value delivered.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, IT, Business, or related field.
+ Minimum 5 years of IT and/or strategic purchasing experience.
+ Experience independently managing contracts and projects with $1-10M in annual spend.
+ Experience using supplier and contract management platforms like Jaggaer.
Work Environment
This role can be 100% remote, providing flexibility and the opportunity to work from anywhere.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $75.00/hr.
