Description We are looking for a dependable Special Events Assistant to help support city-sponsored events in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. This is a Contract opportunity is well suited for someone who enjoys active, hands-on work and contributing to successful community gatherings. The position will play an important role in preparing event spaces, assisting during live events, and helping restore sites once activities conclude. Responsibilities: - Prepare event areas by arranging tents, tables, chairs, signs, and related materials before activities begin - Support post-event teardown by removing equipment and restoring the venue in an orderly manner - Monitor event spaces to help keep walkways, work areas, and public zones safe and organized - Provide day-of assistance to vendors, staff, and other event participants as operational needs arise - Move supplies and equipment as needed to keep event logistics running smoothly - Follow directions from event coordinators to help ensure each event stays on schedule and properly supported Requirements - Availability to work evening and weekend hours based on event schedules - Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds - Comfortable performing physical tasks outdoors in varying weather conditions - Dependable approach to attendance, punctuality, and assigned duties - Ability to work cooperatively with event teams, vendors, and staff - Capable of following instructions carefully and completing tasks efficiently TalentMatch® Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
