**Overview** Kimley-Horn is looking for an Experienced Cadworx Designer for our Natural Gas team in Virigina Beach. This is not a remote position. **Responsibilities** + The person in this position will make and quality check drawings and plans of substantial complexity and may perform some multifaceted calculations + Develop intelligent 3D models of piping, steel, and equipment layouts using CADWorx and AutoCAD Plant 3D + Generate PFDs, P&IDs, fabrication drawings, and modular skid designs + Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure designs meet project specifications and industry standards + Perform design reviews and redlining using CADWorx Design Review Professional + Maintain drawing/database connectivity and ensure synchronization between project databases and drawings + Identify and resolve potential design conflicts, including utility clashes and installation constraints + Perform quality control checks and provide feedback to team members + Requires minimal supervision to perform day to day tasks + Has knowledge of engineering principles and suggests design changes + Maintains drawing database + May supervise and train CAD staff + Develop familiarity with Kimley-Horn's practices, procedures, and standards **Qualifications** + High School Degree (Preferred Associates Degree (or higher) with emphasis on Drafting and Design Technology from an accredited technical institution or college in engineering) + 3+ years experience in CadworxPlant Professional for piping and equipment modeling + Must be proficient in using AutoCAD and Bluebeam + Strong understanding of piping layout standards and construction practices + Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize projects and tasks + Experience in creating CAD tools and symbol databases **Why Kimley-Horn?** At Kimley-Horn, we do things differently.
