The Finance team is seeking a detail-oriented, results-driven Principal Category Manager to join their ranks. Reporting directly to the Finance leader, this role collaborates closely with the team to provide strategic category management support. The position will be responsible for providing category management support and ownership of the procurement lifecycle for third party IT vendors. **Skill requirements** + Strong supplier negotiation skills. + Leads, plans and executes cross-functional strategic sourcing activities to support timely, cost-effective IT projects. Questions conventional thinking and norms and provides alternatives that can improve outcomes. + Gathers, monitors, interprets and leverages market intelligence data to better provide category expertise to BUs to influence sourcing strategies, supplier selections and sourcing decisions - with focus on cost savings and risk mitigation. + Performs spend analysis for various categories and identifies sourcing opportunities. Develops and executes plans to capture sourcing opportunities. + Conveys category and contractual context and other information in response to queries from internal customers. + Drives rationalization/standardization of processes, goods and services throughout the global enterprise. Builds cost/evaluation spreadsheets in Excel to facilitate discussions and decisions. + Ensures contractual documents accurately reflect the goods and/or services being sourced with relevant service levels. + Demonstrates strong communication (written and verbal), organization, accountability for results, ability to handle multiple priorities at the same time, problem-solving and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with all levels of management and employees. + Escalates issues as and when necessary and appropriate to overcome obstacles + Builds and maintains strong working relationships with key third party vendors, Procurement Operations, Contract Managers, BU/Stakeholder, Legal, Privacy, Compliance, Risk and Security Teams. **Education and experience requirements** + Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or related discipline preferred. + 5-7 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management. + Demonstrated IT category expertise. + Knowledge of ERP and Contract Management/Purchasing Systems.
