**Weekend Shift CNC Machinist**
Location: Boulder, CO
Pay: $30-$36/hour (DOE)
Type: Temp-to-Hire
**Shift Available**
-Friday - Sunday: 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM
**Position Overview**
The CNC Technician II uses CNC machinery to perform a range of fabrication processes, producing precision parts that meet internal and external customer requirements. This role supports production through programming, setup, machining, and inspection in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
**Specific Duties and Responsibilities**
- Machine medium to moderately complex parts to print and specification
- Apply working knowledge of CNC machines, tools, and machining methods, including setup, repair, and maintenance
- Select appropriate tools, machines, materials, and abrasives to meet cut quality and production requirements
- Modify existing CNC programs or write and test new programs to support new or revised processes
- Program using G-code, macro variables, and SurfCam software
- Set up, adjust, and operate a variety of CNC and manual machine shop equipment, including mills and lathes
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances using micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, and other precision instruments
- Measure, inspect, and test completed parts to ensure conformance to quality and engineering specifications
- Maintain awareness of production processes, raw materials, quality standards, and cost considerations
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned
**Qualifications**
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- 3+ years of CNC machining experience or completed trade school training preferred
- Strong background in CNC setup, programming, and precision machining
- Comfortable working independently on second or weekend shifts
