Your day to day as a Processor

As a new Full-Time Processor at Barrett Petfood, you can expect a dynamic day filled with diverse tasks essential to the manufacturing process. Your responsibilities will include operating machinery, mixing ingredients according to strict specifications, and ensuring quality control throughout production. Accuracy and attention to detail are key, as you will be responsible for maintaining safety protocols and cleanliness in your work area. Your typical schedule will be Monday through Friday, starting at 6:00 AM and concluding at 2:30 PM. You will collaborate closely with a supportive team, fostering a culture of high performance and innovation.

  • Chip frozen meat blocks apart
  • Run Meat Blocks through meat processing equipment.
  • Enter batch information into Plex Software and manage inventory on a daily basis to ensure product is in stock and accurately counted
  • Mix ingredients together.
  • Add oils as needed per customer specifications.
  • Clean Meat Room equipment throughout shift and at the end of runs to ensure sanitation of equipment is up to standards.
  • Work with a team to ensure product is safely processed in a timely manner.
  • Use forklift to unload shipments into freezer and stage product for processing.
    Enter shipments into inventory on the computer.
