Naturescape is seeking to hire a Fleet Manager in Muskego, WI to be the primary contact for our vehicle fleet, small engine equipment, and operations. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FLEET MANAGER
As a Fleet Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability of sufficient working vehicles and equipment to effectively support production needs across our 42 locations. Your strong ability to remotely manage and oversee the maintenance and proper use of vehicles and equipment, ensuring that they are well-maintained, efficiently utilized, and cost-effective, will contribute to a positive and enjoyable work environment. This includes ensuring repairs and replacements are completed in a timely manner and that all vehicles and equipment are safe to use.
In terms of equipment maintenance, you will ensure that vehicles and equipment are properly cared for through regular use, maintenance, and repair, thereby extending their productive and useful service life. You will manage multiple mechanics at different locations to ensure operations run in the most streamlined, efficient, and cost-effective manner possible.
Computer proficiency is essential in this role, as you will use digital systems to track maintenance, monitor performance metrics, and communicate across departments. You will also create and maintain training content to ensure all team members are equipped with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed.
Strong project planning and leadership skills are key; you'll coordinate with multiple departments, lead your team through changes and improvements, and ensure deadlines are met. You'll also be responsible for holding team members accountable, addressing poor performance when necessary, and maintaining high standards across the department.
Your leadership will help create a positive, solutions-focused environment. You'll drive key outcomes such as reducing the percentage of non-functional and broken equipment, shortening the average repair times, and minimizing negligent damage. Additionally, you will work to improve employee equipment satisfaction with equipment and reduce total repair and maintenance costs.
