Craig Realty Group is currently seeking an experienced full-time Human Resources Generalist.
The Human Resources Generalist assists in a variety of different areas including but not limited to; recruitment, onboarding, benefit and leave administration, workers compensation, unemployment insurance, training and development, employee relations, back up to payroll processing, interaction with all levels of company personnel, and compliance with all government regulations. This position requires an extremely perceptive person who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels within the organization. The generalist must be sensitive to corporate needs, employee goodwill, and business needs.
Essential Duties for HR Generalist Include:
- Performs various Human Resources duties for multistate entities and provides support to all levels of corporate staff and the field.
- Interprets and applies company policies and practices as well as federal, applicable state, and local employment laws.
- Provides customer service to all levels of company personnel and outside governmental agencies.
- Administers various human resources plans and practices for all Company personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; maintains various employee handbooks and policies and procedures manual.
- Assists in talent acquisition and recruitment processes on a corporate and companywide level.
- Schedules phone interviews and in-person interviews with candidates and hiring manager.
- Prepares draft offer letters for Centers and other entities for approval.
- Reviews and prepares new hire orientation packets, benefit packets, and on-boarding materials; prepares new hire orientation agendas for corporate.
- Conducts new hire and benefits orientation for corporate and other entities, as needed.
- Assists with Annual Open Enrollment for all insurance plans as needed by putting together materials and attending or hosting Open Enrollment meetings.
- Assists employees in understanding and accessing Company Health and Wellness programs and services. Assists with planning and implementation of on-site Health and Wellness Events and Programs; actively participates in events.
- Coordinates with unemployment vendor to process claims by entity and state.
- Tracks employee ACA benefit eligibility and notify appropriate parties of status change according to ACA regulations.
- Administers and confirms ACA compliance on annual year-end 1095c forms.
- Reviews LOA requests are in accordance with each State/Federal law and in compliance with Company policies.
- Serves as a primary point of contact for all workplace injuries at Corporate.
- Serves as a primary point of contact for all unemployment insurance claims with the vendor.
- Assist Human Resources Manager in coaching, counseling, and guiding managers with performance-related issues, concerns, complaints, and disciplinary actions.
- Assists and maintains affirmative action program to file EEO-1 report annually; maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
- Leads the Event Planning Committee meetings and events.
- Ensures compliance with Form I-9 (Employment Eligibility Verification); periodically audits Forms I-9.
- Perform special projects as assigned.
HR Generalist Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Psychology or related field.
- At least 3 years experience in a HR Generalist role.
- At least 1 year of ACA annual year-end experience.
- Strong skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Multi-entity, Multi-state experience.
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification.
