Position Summary:
The Clinical Site Liaison is responsible for the recruitment, evaluation, onboarding, and retention of clinical rotation sites and preceptors to support the placement of students in the clinical phase of the Physician Assistant Program. This role serves as a representative of the PA Program in the development and maintenance of external clinical partnerships. The Clinical Site Liaison supports program operations by conducting site visits, facilitating clinical affiliation agreements, and ensuring quality experiences for students through compliance with programmatic and accreditation standards.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Identifies, recruits, and cultivates new clinical rotation sites and preceptors across medical disciplines.
- Coordinates and facilitates onboarding for new sites, including the execution of clinical affiliation agreements.
- Conducts routine evaluations of clinical sites and preceptors through on-site visits, virtual meetings, or telecommunication to ensure compliance with PA program expectations and accreditation standards.
- Maintains effective communication and relationships with clinical sites to ensure ongoing engagement and retention.
- Assists with confirming student rotation placements in coordination with the Clinical Coordinator.
- Assists with onboarding of students to clinical sites in accordance with the facility for proper student credentialing and onboarding
- Supports students and preceptors with the use of evaluation systems and patient tracking platforms.
- Maintains updated documentation of clinical sites, preceptors, affiliation agreements, and rotation schedules.
- Student advising and guidance with clinical year processes.
- Participates and assists with the student interview and application process.
- Represents the Physician Assistant Program with professionalism during interactions with clinical partners and external organizations.
- Exhibits initiative, enthusiasm, collegiality, and teamwork.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree required. Bachelor's degree or higher preferred, especially in healthcare or related field.
- Prior experience in clinical education, provider relations, or health care administration strongly preferred.
- Possess exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Effectively and courteously, work with students, staff, faculty, health care professionals and the public.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple relationships and tasks simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team of highly motivated individuals with sensitivity and diversity to the expectations of students, staff, faculty, healthcare professionals and the public.
- Honesty, integrity, and commitment to maintaining high professional standards.
