Job Description
**Plant Operator, Clean Energy Manufacturing**
**Boulder → Broomfield, Colorado | Start-Up in a Built‑From‑Scratch Facility**
**Help Scale a Breakthrough in Low‑Carbon Manufacturing**
We are seeking an experienced **Plant Operator** to play a foundational role in commercializing a first‑of‑its‑kind electrochemical manufacturing process that significantly reduces carbon emissions in a major global industry.
This is a hands‑on, plant‑floor role for someone who enjoys owning real equipment, solving real operational challenges, and building something new-not maintaining legacy systems. You'll start with immersive training at our Boulder site and then transition to a newly constructed manufacturing facility in Broomfield, where you'll help commission, operate, and continuously improve a pioneering processing system.
**Why This Opportunity Stands Out**
+ Work on a novel electrochemical process-not traditional, decades‑old technology
+ Be part of the launch team for a brand‑new manufacturing facility
+ Join a well‑funded clean technology startup with strong growth momentum
+ See the direct impact of your work every day in a small, highly collaborative team
+ Build long‑term career growth as operations scale from pilot to full commercial production
**What You'll Do**
+ Operate, monitor, and optimize a chemical fluid processing system to safely produce materials
+ Control process parameters across industrial equipment including pumps, compressors, meters, motors, piping, valves, and conveyors
+ Perform routine inspections and identify emerging issues before they affect production
+ Troubleshoot live production equipment handling chemicals, fluids, and metals
+ Safely manage chemical handling in compliance with environmental and process safety standards
+ Record production data, process readings, deviations, and corrective actions with accuracy and discipline
+ Partner closely with maintenance to support preventive and corrective maintenance activities
+ Collaborate with safety and quality teams to uphold strong operational standards
+ Contribute to the development and refinement of standard operating procedures in a fast‑evolving environment
+ Support equipment installation, commissioning, and continuous improvement efforts at the new facility
+ Bring a proactive, hands‑on mindset to a growing manufacturing operation
**What We're Looking For**
**Required Experience**
+ 3-5 years of experience operating chemical or fluid processing systems
+ Experience working with a SCADA system/interface
+ Hands‑on familiarity with industrial process equipment in a production setting
+ Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills under live operating conditions
+ Mechanical aptitude and comfort working around chemicals
+ Experience supporting quality control or production documentation
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience helping develop SOPs or operational best practices in a new or expanding facility
+ Background with systems involving chemicals, fluids, and metals
+ Clear communicator and collaborative team contributor
+ Genuine interest in clean technology, sustainability, or climate‑focused innovation
**Work Environment & Schedule**
+ **Initial Training:** Boulder, CO (approximately 2-3 months)
+ **Permanent Location:** Broomfield / Westminster area (West 112th Avenue)
+ **Schedule:** Day shift, typically 6:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m. or 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
+ Will likely rotate between days and night shifts every 4 weeks
+ Overtime may be available as needed (not guaranteed)
+ Climate‑controlled manufacturing environment
+ PPE required: lab coat, hard hat, safety glasses, and steel‑toe footwear
**Compensation & Benefits**
+ Competitive compensation
+ Paid time off and paid holidays
+ Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
+ 401(k) and disability benefits
+ Long‑term growth opportunities as the company scales
