Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our clients team in San Ramon, California. This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to work on complex financial models, enhance reporting processes, and support strategic decision-making by delivering accurate financial data and insights. Responsibilities: - Compile and verify financial datasets from various sources to ensure accuracy and consistency. - Investigate and resolve data discrepancies to maintain high-quality reporting standards. - Collaborate with governance teams to align financial data with compliance and organizational standards. - Identify inefficiencies in data preparation workflows and implement improvements to streamline processes. - Prepare enterprise-level financial reports, focusing on global metrics and intercompany considerations. - Work with IT and Treasury teams to address data inconsistencies and align reporting systems with key performance indicators. - Analyze data trends and variances to provide actionable insights for senior leaders and financial business partners. - Assist with enterprise-wide reporting exercises, including compensation plan analysis and budget reconciliation. - Build and refine financial forecasting models to support budgeting and resource allocation processes. - Partner with finance teams to enhance and automate reporting templates and forecasting tools. Requirements - Expertise in accounting functions, including accrual accounting and auditing. - Proficiency in financial software systems, such as CRM and Crystal Reports. - Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas and VBA. - Experience with data mining techniques and financial data analysis. - Strong understanding of budget processes and capital management. - Ability to develop and validate complex financial models. - Familiarity with forecasting methodologies and variance analysis. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
