If this resonates with you, consider joining our emergency team in the following role: + Full time .9 FTE Mid-Shift Emergency RN + Work six 12 hour shifts each two week pay period, 1500-0330. + Beautiful newly expanded Emergency department + 68 private treatment rooms beds, designated locked behavioral health unit, and helipad for Life flight services + Level II Trauma Center serving all of Southwest Washington - one of only three trauma centers in the Portland area + Regional Cardiac and Comprehensive Stroke Center + 85,000 annual visits What we offer: + Relocation Assistance + Hourly pay range for this position is $52.22- $77.59 + Great shift differentials (up to $7/hr for night shift). + Additional pay for BSN, MSN, DPN and advanced certifications. + Comprehensive benefit package effective the first of the month following start date. + Tuition Assistance & CE + Student loan repayment. + PTO with no waiting period. + Professional Nurse Advancement Program (PNAP) with pay incentives. Position Details: + Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care needs. + Documents patient care in the healthcare record according to established standards. + Directs and delegates care to other team members in accordance with their education, credentials, and demonstrated competence. + Ensures own professional effectiveness through education and professional development. + Participates in the development of and maintains established hospital policies, procedures and objectives, quality improvement, safety, environmental and infection prevention program. + Care of patient requiring reversal of anticoagulants, administration and monitoring of tPA seizure management and emergent EVD. Management of blood pressure abnormalities with parenteral vasoactive agents. + Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications + Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing Required + Current Washington RN licensure or current Multistate RN license required by date of hire. + Minimum of 1 year of experience in Emergency nursing or graduate of the PHSW ED Fellowship/New Grad program. + BLS and ACLS Certifications required at date of hire + NIHSS required within 6 months of hire. + PALS and TNCC required within 1 year of hire. Working Conditions + Patient handling no greater than 35 lbs. without the use of assistive equipment and/or devices (NIOSH). + Fine motor skills to be able to grasp and control medical equipment and perform precise procedures. + Push/Pull: Frequently up to 45 lbs. force (i.e., WOW, medical carts). + Perform hands on CPR at least 20 mins using 100-125 lbs. of force (National Assoc. of EMS Physicians and AHA) Frequency should be seldom or occasionally. + Ability to move around area with frequent sitting. + Bending/ stooping/ squatting/ reaching/ kneeling frequently. + Lifting (non-patient) up to 20 lbs. occasionally and 5 lbs. frequently. + Exposure to biohazard, body fluids and airborne particles. + Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy environment. + Vision and hearing required within normal limits (glasses, contacts, hearing aids permitted). + Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
