Description We are looking for an experienced Sr. Property Tax Accountant Consultant to join our team in Ferndale, Michigan. This long-term engagement offers an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in property tax administration and compliance within the government sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting functions, auditing, and capital management, along with familiarity with specialized software and tools. The day-to-day responsibilities include: - Manage property tax administration processes, including assessments and tax distributions. - Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in all tax-related activities. - Utilize BS& A software to streamline tax-related tasks and optimize accuracy. - Conduct audits to verify the accuracy of financial records and tax filings. - Collaborate with internal teams to improve accounting and business systems efficiency. - Oversee capital management processes to ensure proper allocation and reporting. - Provide guidance on enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for tax and accounting functions. - Leverage Bloomberg Terminal to analyze financial data and support decision-making. - Prepare detailed reports and documentation to support tax compliance and audits. - Research and resolve complex tax-related issues to minimize risks. Requirements The ideal candidate will have the following skill set: - Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting and tax-related roles. - Strong knowledge of property tax administration, including assessments and distributions. - Proficiency in BS& A software and other relevant business systems. - Familiarity with compliance standards and regulations within the government sector. - Experience with auditing processes and financial record verification. - Ability to work effectively with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. - Skilled in using Bloomberg Terminal for financial data analysis. - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
