About the Role

ATRO is looking for a Heavy-Duty Truck Parts Product Engineer to join our team! In this role, you'll serve as a key technical resource, supporting customers and internal teams with the application, integration, and troubleshooting of heavy-duty truck parts and systems. If you have deep technical knowledge, a passion for problem-solving, and enjoy helping others, we want to hear from you.


What You'll Do

  • Be the go-to technical expert for customers, service teams, and internal sales staff regarding heavy-duty truck parts

  • Support the warranty and claims process with accurate technical insights

  • Troubleshoot product application, compatibility, and performance issues

  • Maintain accurate logs of customer interactions and communicate key issues to field sales

  • Develop and update technical documentation including install guides, bulletins, and troubleshooting resources

  • Research and analyze usage data, market pricing, and customer feedback to identify product improvement or development opportunities

  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, sales, and marketing to ensure smooth new product launches

  • Report technical data to industry platforms such as IMDS and OptiCat

  • Assist with creating and maintaining Bills of Material (BOMs) and e-commerce product data

  • Keep CRM systems up to date with technical support interactions and findings

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of support processes and documentation

  • Stay current with new technologies and products in the heavy-duty truck space


What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience

  • Strong technical knowledge of heavy-duty truck systems, components, and parts

  • Experience in a technical support or customer-facing technical role

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and CRM tools

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills-verbal, written, and interpersonal

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams

  • Comfortable interpreting technical drawings and diagrams

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

  • Automotive or truck industry experience is a plus

  • Familiarity with CAD software (Solidworks, Creo Parametric) is a bonus

  • Experience with e-commerce product data systems (PIES, OptiCat) preferred


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift/move objects as needed

  • Comfortable sitting and working on a computer for extended periods
