Early Learning Connections is currently accepting applications for a Program Operations Assistant in the Butler area. A driver's license, reliable transportation, and a high school diploma (or equivalent) are required.
SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:
· Assist in implementing objectives and implementation of the Agency plan according to regulations
· Assist in maintaining up to date electronic and paper files when needed.
· Contribute to the implementation of the plans according to the Head Start/EHS Program Performance Standards.
· Attend professional seminars, lectures, workshops, staff meetings, and conferences as needed.
· Works constructively with other staff and parents to maintain satisfactory communication.
· Assist the Managers in distribution of information to staff and parents and all aspects of the programs.
· Works with the Executive Assistant for the Education Department on collection of monthly paperwork, In-kind hours and distribution of monthly books to children.
· Fill supply orders and delivers to sites for all classrooms when necessary
· Helps to plan and execute recruitment events and activities.
· Maintain staff and client confidentiality.
· Assist in classroom when needed.
· Assist in the kitchen when needed including ordering/purchasing supplies and food and delivering as directed
· Assists with hearing and vision screenings for children
· Works directly with enrollment and Family Service Staff to complete tasks for family events and services.
· Greets and welcomes students and families to the building while following all drop off and pick up procedures.
· Track information as required such as building fire drills, emergency plan drills and active shooter drills.
· Assist and attend parent activities and meetings. Prepare and distribute minutes as necessary.
· Complete clerical duties as assigned.
· Advocate and collaborate with community agencies to support child, family and agency outcomes as assigned.
· Complete health and safety and playground checklists.
· Assist management in daily operation of Agency Programs.
· Promote the organization in the community by commonly sharing the responsibility of active recruitment of children.
· Support the program-wide adoption of the teaching pyramid model to promote the development of young children's social-emotional competence and address challenging behavior.
· Create and maintain a positive organizational culture by demonstrating the program-wide behavioral expectations in their social interactions with children, families, community members and colleagues.
· Other duties assigned by supervisor.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
· High School Diploma or GED
· Two years of experience working with young children
· Strong computer skills.
· Excellent Communication Skills.
· Excellent Organizational Skills
· Ability to work co-operatively on a team.
· Pennsylvania Driver's license
· Must have own transportation.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
· Prolonged periods of standing, walking, or sitting
· Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds at a time
· Must be able to sit and stand of the floor throughout the day, and bend, kneel, or squat to be at eye level with children
