Join a Fortune 500 client as a Senior IT SAP Consultant, leading solution architecture and design for enterprise SAP S/4HANA Finance (FICO/RTR) initiatives. **Type:** Contract
**Job Title:** Senior IT SAP Consultant
**Location:** Candidates within 2-3 hours of Charlotte, NC preferred. Open to remote candidates across the U.S. (EST preferred); must be willing to support EST time zone.
**Pay Rate:** $45.69 - $151.55/hour
**Work Hours:** M-F 8am-5pm
**Education:** Bachelor's degree preferred, Associate's degree with significant relevant experience (minimum required)
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Lead end-to-end SAP solution design for complex finance and RTR processes
+ Translate business requirements into scalable SAP S/4HANA architectures
+ Provide architectural leadership across design, build, test, and deployment phases
+ Drive ERP transformation initiatives and large-scale SAP implementations
+ Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners
+ Establish best practices, standards, and reusable solution patterns
+ Support integrations across SAP modules and external systems
+ Troubleshoot and resolve high-priority system and production issues
**Core Skills & Expertise**
+ 10+ years of SAP/ERP experience, including 3+ full S/4HANA implementations
+ Deep expertise in SAP FICO / RTR and financial processes
+ Strong knowledge of S/4HANA Finance architecture (ACDOCA, FI/CO integration)
+ Experience with Product Costing, Material Ledger, and Investment Management
+ Hands-on experience with AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Cost/Profit Centers, and period-end close
+ Proven experience in SAP integrations (MM, SD, PP, PS, external systems)
+ Strong stakeholder communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
+ Experience in manufacturing environments
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ SAP FICO or S/4HANA certifications
+ ECC to S/4HANA transformation experience
+ Exposure to SAP BTP, analytics, or cloud-based SAP solutions
+ Experience leveraging AI tools in solution design
