Job Description
Our client, a leading construction and engineering organization, is seeking a Construction Quality Engineer to join their team. As a Construction Quality Engineer, you will be part of the Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) Department supporting project managers, engineers, and construction execution teams. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and strong problem-solving abilities which will align successfully in the organization. **Job Title:** Construction Quality Engineer **Location:** St. Louis, MO (On-site required) **Pay Range:** $55 - $60/hr **What's the Job?** + Develop and implement QA/QC plans for construction projects + Conduct inspections and audits of construction sites to ensure compliance with standards and specifications + Review and approve quality documentation such as test plans, inspection reports, and material submittals + Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to identify and resolve quality issues + Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve quality performance **What's Needed?** + Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferred: Industrial or Mechanical), Construction Management, or related field + 10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control within the construction industry + Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, industry standards, codes, and best practices + Experience with Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001) + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders + Ability to work independently and in a team environment while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction setting + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software tools + Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical models **What's in it for me?** + Competitive hourly pay ($55-$60/hr) + Opportunity for contract extension + Exposure to large-scale construction projects and regulated environments + Collaboration with experienced engineering and project management teams + Hands-on role influencing quality standards and project success If this is a role that interests you and you'd like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
