Description We are looking for a meticulous Staff Accountant to join our team in St. Charles, Illinois. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in accounting principles and practices, along with a collaborative mindset to support various financial operations. Responsibilities: - Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. - Perform bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records. - Record and review journal entries to support the integrity of the general ledger. - Assist in the preparation and execution of month-end close activities. - Maintain and update the general ledger to reflect accurate financial data. - Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. - Prepare financial reports and analyses to support decision-making processes. - Identify areas for process improvement and contribute to the implementation of solutions. - Support audits by providing necessary documentation and financial records as required. Benefits: medical, dental, vision, 401k, PTO Requirements - A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field. - At least 2 years of experience in accounting, either in public or corporate settings, with a focus on detail-oriented tasks. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting. - Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger processes. - Experience with journal entries and month-end close procedures. - Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accuracy in financial records. - Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.
