**Job Description**
As a **CDL Driver/ Heavy Equipment Operator** , you will be a critical part of our Environmental Services team supporting industrial cleaning and emergency response operations. You will work in a variety of industrial environments such as power plants, chemical plants, and manufacturing facilities, operating heavy equipment and specialty vehicles while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.
****CDL A ACTIVE & MINIMUM 2 YEARS** Tanker/Hazmat Endorsement is a plus**
****Heavy Equipment Operation Experience****
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate heavy equipment including excavators, skid steers, forklifts, and other industrial equipment.
+ Perform industrial cleaning, tank cleaning, and drum processing activities.
+ Participate in environmental remediation and emergency response operations as part of a team.
+ Load, unload, set up, and break down equipment for job sites.
+ Inspect, operate, and maintain equipment to ensure safe and efficient performance.
+ Report equipment or vehicle issues to supervisors promptly.
+ Follow all safety procedures, wear required PPE, and adhere to company policies.
+ Maintain clean and organized work and break areas.
+ Assist with general construction, equipment decontamination, and basic vehicle maintenance as needed.
+ Complete daily timesheets and ensure proper equipment readiness.
+ Communicate clearly with supervisors regarding job progress, safety, and quality concerns.
**Essential Skills**
+ High school diploma or GED equivalent.
+ Previous experience in environmental services, industrial work, construction, or contracting preferred.
+ Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
+ Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and industrial environments.
+ Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills preferred.
+ Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, skid steers, bulldozers, or forklifts.
+ 40-hour HAZWOPER certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
+ Ability to work in confined spaces and at elevated heights.
+ Strong teamwork skills and a positive, safety-focused attitude.

**Work Environment**
This role involves outdoor industrial work in hot environments, confined spaces, elevated work areas, and noisy conditions around heavy equipment. Safety is our top priority, and all work is performed using strict safety protocols and PPE.
+ Typical schedule averages **55 hours per week** , with consistent overtime opportunities.
+ Work hours may range from **40-80 hours per week** depending on project needs.
+ Crews generally consist of **3-5 team members** , including a driver, equipment operator, and technician.
+ Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds and climbing ladders up to 200 feet.

This is a Contract position based out of Bartow, FL.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.
