Job Description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented HR Coordinator to support day-to-day human resources operations for a non-profit organization in Vermont. This Long-term Contract opportunity is well suited for someone with strong administrative experience and a foundation in core HR support activities. The person in this role will help keep employee information organized, assist with recruitment and onboarding tasks, and provide responsive support related to benefits and HR inquiries. Responsibilities: - Coordinate new employee setup by preparing onboarding materials, scheduling orientation activities, and collecting required employment documents. - Keep employee files and HR records accurate, current, and aligned with organizational policies and documentation standards. - Provide administrative support for benefits processes, including responding to employee questions and helping resolve routine issues promptly. - Update and manage HR systems and personnel databases while preparing reports that help inform staffing and operational decisions. - Support adherence to employment regulations and internal policies by monitoring HR processes and maintaining consistent documentation practices. - Handle incoming HR questions and correspondence from employees and external partners with professionalism, discretion, and strong customer service. - Work closely with colleagues to identify opportunities to streamline HR workflows and strengthen overall process effectiveness. - Assist with pre-employment screening coordination and related administrative tasks as needed. Requirements - Prior experience in an HR coordinator, HR assistant, or administrative support role with exposure to basic human resources functions. - Ability to manage sensitive employee information with a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism. - Familiarity with HRIS or payroll platforms such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, Dayforce, or similar systems. - Experience supporting onboarding activities, employee record maintenance, benefits administration, or candidate screening processing. - Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to respond clearly to employees, team members, and vendors. - Working knowledge of compliance-related HR practices and the importance of following labor guidelines and company policies. - Proficiency in organizing multiple tasks, meeting deadlines, and maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
