McDonald's Maintenance/Custodial Person Job Description Company: KTL Restaurants LLC | Haynie Holdings LLC Position: Maintenance/Custodial Person Reports To: Shift Manager / General Manager Job Type: Part-Time or Full-Time Job Summary: As a Maintenance/Custodial Person at McDonald's, you are responsible for the overall cleanliness and upkeep of the restaurant, ensuring that both the interior and exterior meet our Gold Standard for safety, sanitation, and presentation. Your work directly impacts the guest experience by creating a clean, welcoming, and safe environment. Key Responsibilities: + Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of all areas of the restaurant, including dining room, restrooms, kitchen, and parking lot + Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors + Clean restrooms and restock supplies regularly + Wipe down surfaces, walls, windows, doors, and trash receptacles + Empty trash bins and assist with waste disposal procedures + Perform basic maintenance tasks such as changing lightbulbs, unclogging drains, or reporting facility issues + Organize and maintain janitorial supplies and cleaning tools + Assist with unloading deliveries and maintaining clean storage areas + Follow all safety and sanitation protocols, including proper chemical handling Qualifications: + Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work + Ability to work independently with little supervision + Strong attention to detail and pride in cleanliness + Willingness to follow all safety, sanitation, and McDonald's operational procedures + Physical ability to lift, bend, kneel, and stand for long periods + Must be reliable, punctual, and professional We strictly adhere to all North Carolina Youth Labor Laws and federal guidelines: Ages 16-17: + May perform custodial work that does not involve hazardous duties or power-driven machinery + May not work between 11 P.M. and 5 A.M. before a school day unless written permission is provided by both a parent and school official + Must present a valid Youth Employment Certificate before beginning employment + Will only be scheduled for hours and duties compliant with youth labor laws Note: Custodial and maintenance positions are not available for minors under the age of 16.
