**Job Summary:**
Micron is seeking a highly motivated Equipment Technician to join the Advanced Packaging Technology Development (APTD) team. In this role, you will be instrumental in sustaining and improving equipment performance within your designated area. You will collaborate closely with Shift Operations, equipment engineers, and tool vendors to monitor tool functionality, perform scheduled preventative maintenance, and resolve equipment issues using a combination of mechanical, electronic, and software expertise.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Performs electrical or mechanical solving to resolve problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process
+ Dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings
+ Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform equipment analysis.
+ Rebuilds manufacturing equipment as the needs arises.
+ May perform equipment modifications as advised by engineers.
+ Stand for up to 10 hours per shift and walk intermittently (1-5 miles per shift) to fulfill job requirements.
+ Perform tasks while bending, crouching, or kneeling to complete job duties effectively.
+ Apply skills in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, Excel) to efficiently complete tasks.
+ Follow basic procedures and work independently with minimal supervision to maintain productivity and quality standards.
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Ability to work 12-hour shifts (3 days on/4 days off and 4 days on/3 days off), progress between day and night shifts every 4 months, and adapt to different shifts and overtime as needed to support business operations.
+ Must be capable of regularly lifting 25-40 pounds, which constitutes approximately 10% of the job duties.
+ One years of hands-on experience working with AC/DC circuits, demonstrating a solid understanding of electrical fundamentals and basic electronic components and circuitry.
**Preferred Requirements:**
+ AAS or AS Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, related field of study, or equivalent military experience
+ 1 year experience using SPC software (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
+ 2+ year experience identifying performance gaps and implementing strategic improvements.
