SUMMARY
Maintains building cleanliness
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Arrive at work station at or before start of shift.
• Perform all tasks per frequency as required by the janitor task list.
• Clean break rooms and restrooms in warehouse and manufacturing departments as required by the janitor task list.
• Sweep and mop floors in warehouse and manufacturing departments as required by the janitor task list.
• Empty trash cans and dumpsters, and compact trash e.g., Pressroom, Bindery, Mailing, Fulfillment, Digital, Shipping/Receiving,
Maintenance etc.
• Machine scrub e.g. Manufacturing main aisles and other departments based on production status. Maintain machine scrubber condition.
• Comply with company and department SOP's, job description(s) and safety requirements.
• Replenish supplies, perform inventory of supplies, and maintain supply area housekeeping (janitorial storage closets).
• Check and drain condensation water everyday or as needed and as required by the janitor task list.
• Shovel snow at outside entrances when and where applicable.
• All other duties as assigned or as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Ability to follow instruction and communicate effectively
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Experienced cleaning skills
• Experience operating a compactor (training provided)
• Basic knowledge of plant and equipment safety
• Physical dexterity:
- Ability to stand, walk lift, bend, twist and stretch throughout the shift
- Ability to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Frequently lift and handle average weight items and up to 50lbs. or more
• Ability to tolerate regular exposure to, e.g. non-climate controlled temperatures, moderate mechanical/equipment noise, fumes, odors and
airborne particles such as dust.
