**Job Description**
The 1st Shift Assembler operates on a clean, climate-controlled production floor, performing hand assembly of very small parts on an automated assembly line. This role follows standard operating procedures to complete repetitive but straightforward tasks, rotating through different stations to maintain focus and accuracy. The position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, has strong attention to detail, and can consistently show up and learn quickly.
**Responsibilities**
+ Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to perform a variety of assembly tasks accurately and consistently.
+ Perform hand assembly of very small piece parts on an automated assembly line.
+ Rotate between different assembly stations to support production needs and reduce repetitive strain.
+ Use basic hand tools and power tools safely and correctly as needed for assembly tasks.
+ Read and interpret simple instructions, work orders, or basic blueprints to complete assigned work.
+ Operate or work alongside production line and basic machinery as required for the assembly process.
+ Perform general labor tasks related to assembly, picking, packing, and packaging of finished products.
+ Handle and assemble extremely small parts with precise hand-eye coordination.
+ Lift and move materials or components weighing up to 30 pounds on an occasional basis.
+ Maintain a clean and organized work area, following facility guidelines and safety practices.
+ Monitor the quality of assembled parts and notify appropriate personnel of any defects or issues.
+ Work productively while seated for much of the shift, maintaining focus during repetitive tasks.
+ Collaborate with team members and adapt to different stations or tasks as production demands change.
**Essential Skills**
+ Good hand-eye coordination to work effectively with extremely small parts.
+ Ability to follow written and verbal standard operating procedures accurately.
+ Capability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
+ Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds safely.
+ Comfort working with hand tools and basic power tools.
+ Willingness and ability to work on a production line and operate or support machine operation.
+ Reliability in attendance and consistency in showing up for scheduled shifts.
+ Ability to sit for the majority of the day while performing assembly tasks.
+ Comfort working in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.
+ Ability to learn new tasks quickly with on-the-job training.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Any type of previous work experience is welcome; the team can train candidates quickly who are reliable and eager to learn.
+ Experience in general labor, assembly, mechanical assembly, or production line work is helpful but not required.
+ Familiarity with reading simple blueprints or diagrams is an advantage.
+ Openness to performing highly repetitive work with very small parts and maintaining focus over time.
+ Interest in learning new skills and taking on additional responsibilities to support growth within the company.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.60 - $18.60/hr.
