The primary purpose of this position is to assist First Commerce in fulfilling our Vision To Be Our Member's Financial Partner for Life. This is achieved through delivering Remarkable Member Service as defined by our Service Standards as well as building and maintaining strong member relationships through identification of member's financial needs and effectively recommending appropriate products and services to meet those needs.
The IT Support Specialist I ensures that the Credit Union's technical infrastructure operates with a minimum of down time.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides first level support for users via phone or Financial Center, including the repair and replacement of hardware and software with the objective of returning the PC to service as soon as possible.
- Maintains network security through the maintenance of user credentials in Active directory.
- Installs and sets up physical desktops, virtual desktops, laptops and mobile devices. This includes both Windows and Apple devices. Provides basic troubleshooting and operational support.
- Resolves desktop, laptop and mobile devices issues including data backup, recovery and operational support. Includes Air watch system to track and manage mobile devices.
- In addition to the PCs and servers, this position handles all of the moves and changes on the telephone switch, and the Call Pilot messaging system. Acts as telephony hardware/software subject matter expert.
- Performs regular preventative maintenance on all PC level equipment.
- Provides training, as necessary, in the use of specialized computer equipment.
- Prepares computers to go into service, including re-imaging, changing peripherals as necessary, and installation of the machine in the user area.
- Creates, builds and oversees virtual pools.
- Maintains the messaging system, and voice mailboxes, and provide training as required.
- Works with the Network Administrator to provide the FCCU staff with an Internet & E-Mail product that is productive, safe and properly secures the information of the Membership.
Other Responsibilities:
- Performs job duties in accordance with policies established by the Board of Directors under the rules and regulations set by the National Credit Union Administration, the State of Florida, and any applicable State laws for financial centers located in other States.
- Complies with Reg E, BSA, OFAC, and CIP requirements such as reporting suspicious or unusual activity to manager.
- Fully supports in actions and words First Commerce's Vision, Mission, Core Values, and Service Standards.
- Attends meetings timely and as required; reports to work as scheduled and adheres to First Commerce's dress code.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Advanced understanding of the Microsoft Active Directory.
- Knowledge of Exchange/Outlook, M/S Office, Internet Explorer, and Adobe.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Works independently to accomplish tasks.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 1+ years' experience installing, servicing & troubleshooting problems with Microsoft Windows.
- A minimum 1+ years' experience with network printers and their problems.
- A minimum 1+ years' experience setting up Virtual Private Networks.
