Job Description
Job Title: Electrical Technician Job Description The Electrical Technician will support the assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical and electronic systems in a development environment. This role works closely with engineers and sr. technicians to diagnose issues, execute test plans, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The technician will independently perform electrical assemblies, conduct routine testing, document results, and provide feedback to engineering. The role also includes supporting process improvements and assisting with documentation updates. Responsibilities + Independently assemble and modify electrical and electronic components and systems using schematics and work instructions. + Conduct hands-on troubleshooting of moderately complex electrical issues. + Execute structured test plans and document test results clearly. + Support process improvements and provide feedback to engineering teams. + Assist with updates to documentation in line with testing and process changes. Essential Skills + Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and diagrams. + Experience with hands-on troubleshooting and testing of electrical systems. + Working knowledge of electrical circuit principles. + Experience executing structured electrical test plans. + Familiarity with IEC, CE, and UL standards. + Ability to document test results accurately. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Associate's degree or technical training in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field, or equivalent experience. + 3+ years of experience in electrical or electronic assembly and testing. + Experience working with electrical and mechanical measurement tools. Work Environment This position operates within an on-site lab, manufacturing, or development environment, involving a combination of bench work, testing, and light documentation. The role requires close collaboration with engineers and other technicians. It offers an opportunity to work with real electrical systems and hardware, supporting engineering teams and influencing product quality. The environment promotes the growth of technical depth and informal leadership skills. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Fort Collins, CO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
