**Job Title: Production Associate - 1st Shift**
**Job Description**
The Production Associate supports electronic manufacturing operations on a 1st shift schedule, performing light assembly, testing, inspection, and packaging to help the team meet customer deadlines. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and a positive attitude who are eager to learn, grow, and build a long-term career in a dynamic production environment. You will receive detailed instructions and close supervision while you develop your skills and gain familiarity with production standards, goals, and company procedures.
**Responsibilities**
+ Support production manufacturing activities to ensure customer deadlines are met.
+ Perform routine light assembly tasks, including inserting and connecting small components similar to fitting one hose into another by hand.
+ Carry out testing and inspection of electronic and mechanical assemblies to verify quality and adherence to specifications.
+ Operate basic production and assembly equipment and machines as directed.
+ Package finished products according to established procedures and quality standards.
+ Follow detailed work instructions, company policies, and standard operating procedures on all assignments.
+ Meet individual throughput and production metrics for the number of pieces assembled and tasks completed.
+ Use basic computer programs, including internal production systems, spreadsheets for documentation, and email for communication.
+ Read and follow blueprints or work instructions when required for assembly tasks.
+ Use hand tools safely and correctly for assembly and production work.
+ Monitor your own work to ensure it meets quality standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
+ Identify and report quality issues, deviations, or production problems to supervisors and escalate concerns when needed.
+ Look for opportunities to improve work productivity, efficiency, quality, and to reduce scrap or rework.
+ Adapt to changes in work plans, priorities, and direction as production needs shift.
+ Participate in improvement initiatives, such as 5S and other efforts to enhance the work environment and processes.
+ Work cooperatively within a team and cross-functional teams, sharing information, knowledge, and experience with co-workers.
+ Maintain composure and a level temperament in a fast-paced or stressful environment.
+ Take on additional assignments as needed to support other departments and areas of the facility.
+ Stay up to date on all required certifications and training for the role.
+ Use time effectively to manage workload and consistently complete assignments on time without compromising quality.
**Essential Skills**
+ Basic computer skills, including the ability to navigate internal programs similar to web browsing, use basic Excel for documentation, and work with email (such as Outlook).
+ Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools, components, and machinery.
+ Ability to perform light electronic assembly tasks, with experience in through-hole or surface mount soldering preferred.
+ Capability to read and follow detailed work instructions and, when required, blueprints.
+ Competence in using basic hand tools safely and effectively in a production environment.
+ Attention to detail and the ability to monitor work to ensure quality standards are met.
+ Ability to adapt to changing priorities, work plans, and direction from leadership.
+ Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work cooperatively within a team and cross-functional groups.
+ Self-motivation with the ability to work independently while following established procedures.
+ Good oral and written communication skills for effective interaction with supervisors and co-workers.
+ Willingness to be flexible and help out in other departments as needed.
+ Ability to learn and be comfortable completing different tasks on a frequent basis.

+ Ability to sit and stand for the duration of the shift and frequently reach at waist level.
+ Capability to perform light industrial work, including lifting up to approximately 10-15 pounds.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High school diploma or equivalent GED is preferred.
+ One (1) or more years of related production, electronic assembly, or manufacturing experience is preferred.
+ Experience in electronic manufacturing, including through-hole or surface mount soldering, is a strong plus.
+ Experience in retail, food service, fast food, or other manufacturing environments can be beneficial.
+ Experience with electronic assembly, soldering, and mechanical assembly tasks is advantageous.
+ Familiarity with production environments that use blueprints, hand tools, and basic computer systems.
+ Demonstrated ability to maintain a positive attitude and willingness to learn new tasks.
+ Interest in progressing and building a long-term career within a large manufacturing organization.
+ Experience participating in continuous improvement initiatives, such as 5S, is helpful.
+ Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced or stressful environment.

**Work Environment**
This role is based in a manufacturing environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a moderate noise level. The position follows a 1st shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The work is light industrial and general assembly in nature, with typical lifting limited to approximately 10-15 pounds. You will perform tasks such as testing, inspection, light assembly, machine operation, and packaging, using hand tools, basic production equipment, and computer systems for documentation and communication. You will have the option to sit or stand during the shift, but standing will be required regularly, and frequent reaching at waist level is expected. The environment emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and adherence to production and quality standards while supporting collaboration and flexibility across departments.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nampa, ID.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
