Job Description

Parts Counter

Monday - Friday 8am-5pm with 1hr lunch at noon, Saturdays as needed

Are you organized, detail-oriented, and enjoy working in a hands-on environment? We're looking for a Parts Counter person to join our team in a friendly garage setting. You'll be the go-to person for parts inventory, ordering, and helping both our in-house mechanics and walk-in customers get what they need to keep things running smoothly. Ideally this individual would have a comfortable knowledge of parts for diesel dump/semi-trucks.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage inventory of parts and supplies for our service garage
  • Order parts from vendors as needed
  • Maintain organized parts storage and keep accurate records
  • Assist mechanics with locating and receiving necessary parts
  • Handle customer interactions at the parts counter - both in person and over the phone
  • Process counter sales and returns
  • Manage paperwork and data entry for parts invoices

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior experience in auto or truck parts (preferred but not required)
  • Basic computer skills (required)
  • Familiarity using Fullbay or similar shop management system
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-focused
  • Ability to lift and move parts (some heavy lifting required)
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)

No drug/alcohol violations within the past 5 years
