Job Description
Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team. This role will oversee core accounting operations, deliver reliable financial reporting, and help maintain strong internal processes across the function. The ideal candidate brings sound technical accounting knowledge, strong analytical skills, and the ability to support both routine close activities and process improvements. Salary up to $130K. If you are interested, please reach out to Steve Cashman on LinkedIn or call Steve at 612.446.5690 Responsibilities: - Produce monthly and annual financial statements and prepare additional financial analyses or reports as needed. - Support month-end and year-end close activities by reviewing results, preparing entries, and helping keep deadlines on track. - Reconcile general ledger accounts on a recurring basis and verify that transactions are recorded accurately and classified correctly. - Maintain and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and documentation to promote compliance and consistency with organizational standards. - Contribute to the annual budgeting cycle by assisting with financial data preparation, analysis, and reporting. - Oversee vendor setup and record maintenance, including collection of required tax documentation and coordination of year-end reporting. - Use the accounting platform effectively to respond to reporting needs, resolve questions, and recommend more efficient workflows. - Manage external relationships with accounting software and merchant service providers, including system updates, staff communication, and related training. - Assist with onboarding new employees by supporting system access, setup, and accounting-related training as needed. Requirements - 7+ years of accounting experience, including responsibility for general ledger activity and month-end close. - Demonstrated ability to prepare and review financial statements with a high level of accuracy and timeliness. - Hands-on experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting processes. - Familiarity with audit support and maintaining documentation for financial statement reviews or audits. - Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to organize, analyze, and reconcile financial data. - Working knowledge of accounting systems and the ability to learn new platforms quickly. - Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
