Description We are looking for a detail-oriented GIS Analyst to join our team in Houston, Texas. This is a Contract-to-permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity for growth and long-term potential. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background and a passion for leveraging GIS technologies to solve complex problems. Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain GIS applications and tools to support organizational needs. - Analyze and interpret geographic data to create detailed maps and reports. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate GIS solutions into existing systems. - Perform data collection, validation, and quality assurance for GIS datasets. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to GIS software, tools, and systems. - Enhance system functionality by implementing APIs and conducting backend development tasks. - Apply Agile and Scrum methodologies to ensure efficient project delivery. - Utilize bug tracking tools like Atlassian Jira to monitor and resolve technical issues. - Participate in AB testing to evaluate and optimize GIS application features. - Provide technical documentation and training for end-users to maximize system utilization. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Geography, Computer Science, or a related field. - 0-5 years of experience in GIS analysis or software development. - Proficiency in programming languages such as C++ and ASP.NET. - Experience with backend development and API integration. - Familiarity with bug tracking tools like Atlassian Jira. - Knowledge of Agile Scrum methodologies and their application in software projects. - Strong understanding of CSS and Android development. - Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
