The Lake County Public Health Department is accepting applications for:
Part-time Family Planning Nurse
QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess a valid MT driver's license; be a graduate of an accredited nursing program and possess a current MT RN license, BSN preferred; must possess the ability to work non-judgmentally and effectively with diverse populations including adolescents and underserved members of the community, both orally and in writing; be skilled in accepting and utilizing supervision; be able to make meaningful nursing observation and assessments; be computer proficient; must understand and be able to comply with Title X guidelines.
DUTIES: Provide direct clinical services within the scope of the Title X Family Planning Program including intake counseling and medical history assessment for Family Planning clients; pregnancy testing and options counseling; conduct STD screening and treatment; start clients on an appropriate form of contraceptive; comply with reporting requirements; provide assessments and referrals to appropriate human service providers; utilize standing orders and protocols; assure that clinic signage and posters are updated and that the clinic is clean, stocked, and organized; assess immunization status and provide appropriate immunizations; documents nursing services; provide follow-up; prepare reports in a timely manner; participate in community education programs and outreach; serve as a nurse for Maternal and Child Health program services; coordinate meetings and functions; participate in staff meetings; attend workshops; and perform other duties as assigned.
HOURS/DAYS: Shifts vary. This is a part-time, 21-hour per week position.
WAGE: $27.00/hourly.
