**About Us:**

United Trades of America is a leading labor contractor focused on providing skilled trades within the construction and manufacturing industries. We are currently seeking experienced Welders for a critical 7-day shutdown project in Sanford, North Carolina, during the Labor Day period. Working 7 days, 12 hours per day.

**Job Description:**

As a Welder, you will be responsible for performing welding tasks to install, maintain, and repair industrial equipment and structures during a planned shutdown. Your skills will ensure that all welding work is completed efficiently and to high-quality standards within the specified timeframe.

**Responsibilities:**

- Perform welding tasks including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Inspect welded surfaces and structures to identify defects and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Maintain welding equipment and tools in good condition.
- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear.
- Work efficiently to complete tasks within the shutdown period.

**Requirements:**

- Proven experience as a welder in an industrial setting.
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Good physical condition and ability to work in various environments.
- Ability to work long hours and over the Labor Day period.
- Valid welding certifications are preferred.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- Technical certification or associate degree in welding or a related field.
- Experience with shutdown projects.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
