Job Description
Description We are looking for a Production Artist to support manufacturing-related print and graphic production work in Saint Paul, Minnesota. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who combines strong technical execution with a sharp visual sense, ensuring artwork is accurately adapted for a variety of formats and surfaces. The role focuses on preparing production-ready files, refining existing designs for new applications, and collaborating on large-format visual materials such as wall graphics.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain template files for window graphics and other production applications to support accurate, repeatable output.
- Rework existing creative assets so they fit new dimensions, layouts, and physical formats while preserving brand consistency and visual quality.
- Prepare artwork for prepress by organizing files, checking specifications, and ensuring designs are ready for production.
- Support the development of wall graphic materials by adjusting layouts, scale, and composition for the intended installation environment.
- Modify and enhance artwork as needed, including image edits, file corrections, and design refinements for print execution.
- Partner with internal teams to translate design intent into practical production files that meet manufacturing and print requirements.
- Apply strong organizational practices to manage multiple assets, versions, and deadlines across ongoing projects. Requirements - Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Hands-on experience in print production, including preparing accurate files for prepress and final output.
- Background in adapting existing artwork for new shapes, sizes, and production formats.
- Demonstrated ability to work with art manipulation and layout adjustments while maintaining design integrity.
- Solid understanding of print design principles, specifications, and production standards.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to keep files, revisions, and deliverables well organized.
