Medical Equipment/Material Manager - Operational Testing and Evaluation (OT&E) Support Technician

ACLC is seeking a Medical Equipment/Material Manager – Operational Testing and Evaluation (OT&E) Support Technician to support the Medical Modernization Program Management & Tactical Operations Medical Skills Lab Services contract at the Tactical Operations Medical Skills (TOMS) Lab, Hurlburt Field, FL. This position plays a critical role in evaluating, coordinating, and managing the testing and fielding of medical equipment and technologies for Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) medical operations. The selected candidate will provide expert logistical, technical, and operational support for medical equipment assessments, material readiness, and modernization programs.

This role requires hands-on support in transporting and maintaining medical equipment, as well as participating in system evaluations, data collection, and operational assessments to ensure effective and mission-ready solutions. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in medical logistics or military medical operations and will interface with multiple stakeholders – including subordinate units, government agencies, and commercial vendors – to identify, test, and integrate new medical capabilities suited for the demands of special operations environments.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience managing or supervising a medical logistics division or at least four (4) years of military medical experience as Officer in Charge or Non-commissioned Officer in Charge of a clinic logistics flight. Military experience in expeditionary logistics is preferred.
  • Minimum of six (6) years managerial experience in medical logistics, nursing, or medical program management related fields or settings with duties involving medical management of resources and documentations of programs, projects, or resource activities.
  • Capable of performing tasks related to ordering, storing, and shipping medical equipment, and providing logistical and management expertise related to military medical operations, logistics, and resource management.
  • Physically capable of lifting objects up to 30 pounds to chest height. Employee will be required to assist with the packaging and movement of supplies and equipment, to include loading and unloading vehicles
  • Valid driver's license

An active Secret Clearance, or the ability to obtain one, is required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with subordinate medical operational units, ST medical functions, and other supported AFSOC medical operations and units to evaluate and assess medical operational and human system integration capabilities and effectiveness, identify areas for enhancement, improvement, and modernization.
  • Utilize unique special operations knowledge/experience to interact with units and conduct analysis to identify, define, validate, and approve user needs and requirements through established AFSOC, AFMS, and USSOCOM capabilities-based assessment processes.
  • Assist AFSOC/SGR in coordinating with commercial vendors and/or developers, interested government and non-government entities, and medical users to demonstrate and assess new material equipment capabilities.
  • Identify potential capabilities or technologies adaptable by AFSOC medical teams, and assist where applicable.
  • Participate in developing processes to refine or modify Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) material solutions to ensure potential solutions are suitable for military medical operations.
  • Research and/or identify current fielded medical equipment capabilities through Federal Logistics Data (FEDLOG) and other similar military medical logistics information systems, and use information to populate allowance standards and other material/equipment lists.
  • Assist AFSOC/SGR in preparing and shipping equipment for operational testing, participate in test and evaluation policy issues, and coordinate between internal and external agencies.
  • Assist AFSOC/SGR in coordination with US Army Aeromedical Research Lab, AFMEDCOM, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, and vendors to ensure all required testing, to include air worthiness certification, is identified, scheduled, performed, and documented.
  • Assist AFSOC/SGR with planning and coordinating system procurement activities to include unit operational assessments, performance evaluations, and acceptance validation testing prior to transition of new capability to the field.
  • Assist AFSOC/SG in developing user assessment and evaluation templates and ensure pilot unit evaluation reports are thorough and complete. Maintain these reports and other pertinent assessments and disseminate copies to other units, developers, and others upon request.
  • Aid AFSOC/SG to ensure modernization initiatives, enhancements, and upgraded equipment/materials are interoperable to the fullest extent possible throughout AFSOC, USSOCOM, and Air Force operational medical units as necessary or relevant.
