**Job Description** lThe Robinson Center for Young Scholars offers two summer enrichment programs: + Summer Challenge serves students currently in grades 5 to 6. The program runs Monday through Friday, July 6 to July 24, 2026. + Summer Stretch serves students in grades 7-10. The program runs Monday through Thursday, June 30 to July 23, 2026. The Robinson Center seeks **Classroom Aides** to support the teaching staff with daily classroom activities and student supervision. This temporary, hourly position begins on June 15, 2026, and ends on July 24, 2026. All work takes place in person on the UW Seattle campus. Classroom Aides report directly to the Enrichment Program Manager and collaborate with the teaching and administrative staff. Classroom Aides must complete all required training and onboarding before the start of the Summer courses, including, but not limited to, the in-person orientation days on June 23 and June 25, 2026. Aides must also complete all required online training through UW's Office of the Youth Protection Coordinator. Aides may be assigned to support a specific summer course or provide program-wide support. Specific assignments will be communicated at the beginning of June. The assignment may change at any time at the discretion of the Enrichment Program Manager. **Tentative Work Schedule:** Before classes are in session (starting June 15th): + Online trainings: 8 hours, online + Initial meeting with instructional team: 1 hour, virtual + June 23 and June 25, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM: 12 hours, in person When classes are in session: + 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM (30 minutes of unpaid break) The work schedule will be confirmed at the beginning of June, based on the specific assignment. Occasionally, extended hours may be required and assigned based on availability. **DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** Instructional and Student Support: + Reinforce classroom expectations and model respectful, inclusive behavior + Partner with instructors and administrators to address student behavioral concerns proactively + Assist with instructional activities, demonstrations, and hands-on projects as directed by the instructors + Provide academic support through one-on-one assistance and small group facilitation + Support instructors in assessing and documenting student progress + Communicate student concerns promptly to instructors and program staff, following program policies Supervision: + Supervise students and maintain a safe, structured classroom environment + Take accurate attendance each morning and follow established arrival and dismissal procedures + Chaperone field trips and campus transitions, both on and off campus Classroom Supplies and Materials: + Support instructors with daily classroom setup, materials preparation, and end-of-day cleanup + Perform other related duties as assigned **MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS** High school graduation or equivalent AND Two years of clerical experience.
