Job Description
Our client, a leader in food manufacturing, is seeking a Sr. Food Scientist to join their team. As a Sr. Food Scientist, you will be part of the R&D team. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, self motivation, and crreativity which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title: Sr. Food Scientist**
**Location: Aurora, CO**
**Pay Range: $44-49/hr**
**What's the Job?**
+ Work on projects with the Culinary and R&D teams to commercialize new products, improve existing products, and find opportunities for cost savings.
+ Develop analytic methods and control techniques for ingredients, raw materials, and finished goods.
+ Ensure that product manufacturing recipes and specifications produce optimum product quality and efficiency including the initiation and direction of troubleshooting activities when needed.
+ Investigate, report, and make recommendations on technical issues which may impact the business.
+ Provide technical support to internal and external customers, including Procurement, Sales, Commercialization, Quality, Operations.
**What's Needed?**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Food Science or Food Engineering with a strong functional Baking Science background
+ At least 5 years of prior experience with working on new products through concept, prototyping and commercialization within a manufacturing environment.
+ Exceptional palate and sensory skills
+ Recipe formulation and raw material knowledge/experience.
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills
