Job Description
Description We are looking for an experienced Tax Attorney/Lawyer to support legal matters through a part time Long-term Contract engagement. This opportunity is ideal for a licensed legal specialist with strong capabilities in legal, primarily tax-related analysis, and regulatory research, document preparation. The role requires sound judgment, precise drafting skills, and the ability to deliver clear legal guidance in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: - Conduct thorough legal and research to support case strategy, compliance questions, and business decisions. - Prepare, review, and revise legal documents, correspondence, memoranda, and other formal materials with a high degree of accuracy. - Analyze tax law issues and provide well-supported recommendations based on applicable statutes, regulations, and guidance. - Interpret legal requirements and translate complex issues into practical advice for internal stakeholders and project teams. - Organize findings, maintain clear documentation, and ensure legal work product is complete, timely, and well presented. - Collaborate with relevant teams to address legal risks, support ongoing matters, and assist with issue resolution as needed. - Monitor changes in applicable laws or regulations and identify potential impacts on current legal matters or business activities. Requirements - Active attorney license and current good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, prefers the Northeast area. - At least 5 years of experience practicing law in a relevant legal environment in Tax law. - Preferred licensure in specific jurisdictions may be considered an advantage, though candidates licensed in other jurisdictions are also welcome. - Demonstrated strength in legal research and regulatory analysis across complex subject matter. - Experience working with tax law issues and applying legal principles to practical business or compliance matters. - Strong drafting ability with experience preparing legal documents, formal opinions, and related written materials. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail and sound judgment.
